Josie Kite has been sewing custom items for over 25 years. She started in the 90’s, sewing aprons as a way to relax while traveling with her high pressure job. Before long she realized that the joy she got from enriching people’s lives with her custom-made aprons was much more appealing than a stress-filled job working for someone else. She started sewing full time and Angel Aprons was born. Over the years people would see her skill and the love and craftsmanship she put into her work. They started asking her to make other things for them, like a quilt made from their old t-shirts or a bag for their yoga mat. Other people would see those custom items and ask her to make one for them too. Eventually Josie started stocking an inventory of many of these other items such as pot grabbers, hats, and more recently, face masks. Thus Angel Aprons became Angel Aprons Etc. Josie was a fixture at the Greensboro Curb Farmer’s Market for over 19 years and her stall was the first stop for many people going to the Market each week. They would stop by, not just to see what cool new things she was making, but also to visit and get a hug. On Saturday mornings you could usually find a crowd in Josie’s booth of friendly people looking for a Tater Bag and their weekly dose of Josie’s infectious smile. These days Josie is still sewing amazing custom items and mailing them or dropping them off to customers. Josie puts love into everything she makes and she touches the heart of everyone she meets.
